Great Company and a Great Day. With seas at 2 ft or less it was off to the Elton Bottom with Jeff, Nancy and Colby Lang. The Lang's last trip with us was 2 years ago, last year the weather cancelled our trip. When you're sitting up in Geneseo,IL with visions of Snapper and Grouper dancing through your head, a weather problem is not what you want to hear. This year we got it done.
We were into some nice vermillion snapper right out of the gate. There were some other larger fish hanging aroud also. Colby had to show dad the way to do it! A nice 14# grouper and a big smile to boot! Then it was dads turn. A really big hit and the battle was on. After 20 minutes or so and some cramped up forearms, Jeff pulled in a huge stingray. Close to 250#. I wonder who really won that battle?
We ended the day with 26 large vermillion snaps, a 14# grouper and various other critters. We couldn't have designed a nicer day and I totally enjoyed spending it with the Lang's. Tight Lines!!

Dennis, finally got a chance to check the website following our trip to Florida last week. Tickled to see the pics. The highlight of this year's spring break trip was, of course, our fishing trip with you. A wonderful time to be sure. Always wanted a battle with something that could pull harder than me, and this year had that experience. What a hoot that was. Still a few muscles reminding me of the fight. And Colby always seems to land the big groupers. Thanks again for a great time. Look forward to next year!
