After a 3 day weather delay it was back to it. With seas at 1-2 feet and water temps on the way up things were looking up! We tried a few places just east of MR and had some nice sea bass and 1 grouper around 14#. Then we were off to the AH to some secret Sea Dancer #'s. I was astonished to find pods of spanish sardines and threadfin herring on the surface and in any direction you looked. So, we took advantage and put some in the well.
The live bait paid off! Dale was the hot rod with a 22# grouper and a 18# snapper, Arron was right behind dad with a nice grouper of his own. We had several fish that took our guys into the bottom and had to be broken off. After this placed cooled off we headed futher east to another spot that yielded a nice 20# snapper to Rick. We thought we would have to administer the oxygen bottle to Rick. I think the snap put a whippin' on the ole boy.
Final score: a 20 and 18 # snapper, a 22, 14, and 8# grouper ,2 nice flounder and 30 sea bass. Tight Lines!!
P.S. Max, we missed you today!!
