This was one of the days as a charter Capt that you dread! FOG, FOG and FOG!! Then to top it off, being trapped onboard with 2 Gators and 2 Noles. I survived by putting on my Capt garb and they never knew there was a Cane onboard. There was stiff competition most of the day. After our first stop and loading up with 150 spanish sardines, the Gators were on top first with a nice 8# snapper. After losing 3 nice fish in the bottom the Noles got on top with a 12# snapper and remained there for most of the day.
After a long stent of no action we change areas from AH to TR. Thunderstorms were on the horizon and the VHF was a buzz with people who were encountering the deteriorating conditions. In other words the Gators were down 1 point, the ball was on the 50 yard line and one second on the clock. Then it was Steve with a mighty heave and a last ditch effort and after much winding and grunting, he SCORED! A 22# Grouper topped the Noles!! Just like being in the SWAMP!
Then the weather hit and we were on our way home. It was a fun day!!
