With weather permitting , it was off to the Elton Bottom just inside 40 miles east of jax. The bottom fishing inside of 25 miles has been truely poor for the last 10 days or so. Reason is unknown. Plenty of bait arouind, 78 degree water and not alot of fishing pressure.

Our first stop was for bait at BB. No problem here, the bait was everywhere. With aronud 250 or so live ones in the well we were off.

After fishing 2 places we thought we were in for some of the sane action that was going on inshore. A 30 # cobia and 2 b-liners was all we had for our effort. So, we headed for the best place that I knew in the immediate area. It was ready!! Three snapper. the big one was 23#,15 Mangrove snapper to 8#, one scamp at 10#, one AJ at 25# and several nice b-linners. A really nice box of fish!  The company wasn't bad either. Tight Lines
