This day started out a little choppy with a stiff breeze out of the SW. We caught live bait at BB and proceeded to a special SEA DANCER spot in search of Snapper and Grouper. What we found was quite different.

We started out fishing the bottom and found several short snaps and groper. As the morning progressed I noticed more and more fish that were up in the water. So, out went the old flat line and was instantly taken by a 10 # kingfish. Mr. Montgomery had requested a couple of kings for his smoker that would eventually be turned into Willie's Wonderful Dip! As we begin to zone in on the kings he wanted to try one on his Ambassedor rig with 15# line. His first try resulted in a destroyed bait. The next time out he found himself on the souht end of a 6' + sailfish. This guy really put on a show with 21 jumps and taking vertually all of Willie's line. After turning the fish with only a couple of feet left, the fish slowly came to the boat where he was billed and went through the photo session. He was released and proceeded on his way. Willie did a great job with this fish and being on the anchore didn't help much but he got the job done!

We wound up the day with  the sail, 6 kings, 1 snap, 1 Grouper and a few bass. TIGHT LINES!!
