Thursday, January 05, 2006 - WADE TUTEN AND CREW Back
Seas: 2-4    Water Temp: 61.3°F Crew:
Moon:     Location: PM
Species: 5 Grouper
8 Snapper
Category: Snapper Catches
Report:

The day started out with a nice ride out to PM. Once there the wind picked up to around 15+kts from the SW, with the tide from the SE it made anchoring a little difficult. After a couple of attemps we got it right and finally landed on the right place. First fish was a snapper around 21 inches the the grouper started. We caught 3 good ones on the first place. There were some that were a little quicker than our anglers.

After drawing a blank on the next place we went just a short distance offshore to one of my favorite places. The snapper went nuts for about an hour and we kept 7 more very nice ones for the box. We did catch one more grey grouper and one red grouper before wrapping up the day.

Final count 8 snapper 5 grouper  and a couple of other critters. TIGHT LINES!!

For those interested I will give a bottom fishing seminar at the Beach Blvd WEST MARINE AT 6:30 PM on 26 January 06. For reservations you need to either go by the store or call and sign up. The seminar will last until 8:00 PM.So start thinking about those problems you may have with your bottom fishing  and  see if we can't sovle them.I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE.
