The weather forecast was favorable and the ocean was better than the forecast. A light breeze from the east and 1-2 ft.
Having found some nice fish at PM a couple of days previous, we headed back to see if they were still around. On the first place they were, but very slow in biting. We caught 1 grouper and 2 snapper and decided to change locations. As we approached the spot there were thousands of spanish sardines on the surface, just like summer. We broke out the sibikis and went after them. Somewhere around 100 or so of them made it to our livewell. Then we went fishing.
On the next spot there were 3 more nice snapper caught and 3 to 4 big fish that were hung and escaped. I decided to head on offshore and drift some large peices of hard bottom for seabass. We did find the bass and also a nice snapper and another nice grouper. Final count was 6 snapper, 2 grouper and 20 or so bass. TIGHT LINES!! Good luck with your surgery Clayton. Look forward to HEARING from you soon.
