The weather man did not win any points with us today. The forecast was for 1-2 foot seas and the wind from the northwest at 5-10 knots. We started out with 15 from the SW and the tide screaming out of the NW conditions were miserable with the boat lying in the trough all day.
Our first stop was at the PV Grounds. We hung several fish but just couldn"t get the hooks to set. we managed 2 nice snapper and a few sea bass. I decided it was time to move north to MG. As we proceeded north the sea began to lie down a bit almost to near calm. I thought we had it made. WRONG! In a matter of minutes the tide and wind had both changed to opposite of what they were at PV. We were still in the trough. On the last stop we picked up 3 more snapper and a few bass before we went home. I think we all were ready for some stable ground.
Larry even though we had a tough day I enjoyed fishing with you and you sons. Thanks for taking this one on short notice. TIGHT LINES!!
