I had planned to make the day at BR but held up at EF when the weather wasn't exactly as advertised. Our first stop was on a small ledge that was supposed to have some nice seabass on it, but to our surprize we wound up with 2 grouper. After that we fished several places that produced zero!
I decided to change areas and go to CH and just as I started to take off we ran across a huge school of cigar minnows. Down went the sibikis and in about 20 minutes we had 100 plus nice ones to the well. We the proceeded to a wreck at CH. The plan was to drop the largest live baits we had on top of the wreck and try for Mr. Cobia. What we caught was a 5 pound flounder. Knowing that flounderare normally around the base of most wrecks I moved the boat into position off the side of the wreck and it was on!! We boated 40 more in about an hour. Most were between 3-5 pounds. They made a fishbox full. Out of live bait, we called it a day. Final talley 2 Grouper,21 seabass, 6 Vermillion snapper and 41 Flounder. TIGHT LINES!
