Report:

There are some days that you know mother nature is going to kick your tail if you go out on her ocean. This was one of them. Weatherman says 10-15 from SW and we have at least 20 before we leave the dock. Once we got 10 miles out to PM the current was flying out of the south, which caused the boat to lie 220 degrees which was in the trough. It was miserable the first 4 hours.

We managed to ride it out without anyone getting sea sick and at 11 AM we found some really nice spanish sardines and boated approximately 100 of them for our live well. Then the wind began to abate and the ocean settled down to a reasonable conditon for us to get on the next spot accurately. After waiting some 15 minutes or so the fish finally turned on. We boated 6 nice snapper up to 16 pounds and lost several others.

After using up our bait we found some more nice sardines just offshore from where we caught the snapper. We tried 3 other places with no luck and it was time to head home. I enjoyed the fishing part of this day but not the fishing conditions. There will be better days!! TIGHT LINES!!
