After 8 days of strong east wind we have a one day break. We started out jigging a few threadfins at the jetties. The ocean was still a little choppy so we hitched a ride up behind the Mayport Princess until we could get a better angle to run toward the Amberjack Hole. We stopped at KC and found a few more threadfins. Then it was off to the first place.

The first fish in the boat was a nice 12 pound snapper. We caught and released several short snapper and a couple of grouper. We also had 3 other large fish that either pulled off or made it back to the bottom and broke off.

We fished 3 other places with alittle better results. Wound up the day with 4 snapper up to 12 pounds, 4 grouper to 12-13 pounds and some sea bass and kingfish. We did loose 9 really good fish that we had either near the boat or broke our 30# rigs off on the bottom. All in all a great day.
