After several days of east and northeast wind it finally eased off enough for us to make a long run to the south end of Elton Bottom. We stopped off at BB and jigged up around 50 Rough minnows just in case the mangrove snapper would be around.
Our first stop was on the remains of an aircraft that has been down for over 30 years.Short Red Snapper were in abundance, we did have 3 legal size ones for the box.
On our next place, 46 miles east of Mayport, the show was on!! Large3-4 pound Vermillion Snapper, Red Snapper, Amberjacks and one large Grouper entertained our crew the rest of the day.
ALOTTTTT!!! of fun was had by all. TIGHT LINES
